Seeking a Multitasking Maestro to Orchestrate the City of Clearlake

The Role:

As Secretary, you'll be the backbone of our administrative operations. You'll provide vital support to management, ensuring everything from correspondence to budget preparation is handled with precision. Your ability to multitask and prioritize will be key as you juggle various responsibilities, including:

· Administrative Virtuoso: Prepare reports, letters, and other documents with impeccable accuracy. Your typing and transcription skills will shine as you capture crucial information and keep everyone in the loop.

· Public Relations Pro: Be the friendly face of the City, providing information and assistance to the public. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.

· Organizational Guru: Maintain meticulous records, manage files, and keep everything in its rightful place. Your attention to detail will be essential as you oversee the office's supplies and recommend improvements to workflows.

· Minute-Taking Master: Attend meetings and capture key decisions with your impeccable note-taking skills. Your accurate minutes will serve as an invaluable resource for the City Council, committees, and Planning Commission.

The Ideal Candidate:

· Proficient Communicator: You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with everyone from management to the general public.

· Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable using computers and various office software, and you're a fast learner when it comes to new technologies.

· Independent & Resourceful: You're a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, and you're not afraid to take initiative and find solutions.

· Team Player: You're a positive and collaborative individual who enjoys working with others to achieve common goals.

Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required
knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities
would be:
Experience:
Two years of responsible secretarial and clerical experience.
Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized
secretarial or clerical course work.
