In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop a talented department team

• Guide implementation of the City’s Comprehensive Plan

• Oversee zoning, subdivision, permitting, inspections, and code enforcement

• Modernize development processes with a focus on customer service and innovation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, Architecture, or a related field

• 5+ years of progressively responsible planning/development experience, including supervisory work

• AICP Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field

• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) credential

• Experience with grants management, historic preservation, building codes, and GIS technology

Salary Range: $98,234 – $149,474 (DOE/DOQ)
