Position Overview:
AJR-B is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the FAA’s Future Flight Service Program (FFSP). Through this program, AJR-B is modernizing and aligning operations in the Contiguous United States (CONUS), Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Alaska. To support these modernization objectives, AJR-B has a need for a Business Analyst with acquisition strategy subject matter expertise, strategic analysis, and the technical acumen to assist with the full range of Acquisition Management System (AMS) lifecycle support activities for the FFSP and other projects under the Flight Service Office portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have FAA experience.
Preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Help coordinate meetings with stakeholders, and document discussion results; prepare for distribution.
Work closely with various departments to understand their needs and document for the team in order to support decision-making.
Act as a liaison between Senior Management and required Stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Assist in managing acquisition projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Assist in managing systems engineering and requirements.
Assist with IGCE preparation.
Track project progress, identify potential risks, and provide regular updates to the AAC Program Manager.
Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
III. Requirements:
Education:
Masters preferred. Must have Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management, computer science, economics, finance, information systems, information technology, mathematics, statistics, operations research or business administration.
Experience:
Proven experience in project management.
Must have 15-20 years of experience.
Outstanding organization and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of Flight Services.
Strong understanding of AMS lifecycle management.
Experience with Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE).
Experience with Systems Development and Requirements gathering.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Knowledge of Alaskan Aviation Infrastructure a plus.
