The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of Rental Code Enforcement Inspector. Employees in this perform skilled inspection of residential income property and enforcement of Chapter 9, Article VI, Division 9 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of warren titled "Building and Building Regulations".
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Copy of diploma required with application.
- Two (2) years of experience in inspection of City properties, and code enforcement.
- Passed the current International Code Council Property Maintenance and housing Inspector examination within six months of date of hire.
- General understanding and experience using computers and electronic reporting data.
- Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
- Driving record must meet city's standards for insurability.
Pay rate: $59,929/year - $71,607/year (After 5 years)
