What You'll Do
✔️ Lead the City's HR & Civil Service Operations - Oversee hiring, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
✔️ Ensure Compliance - Maintain adherence to EEOC, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, DOL, and other HR laws.
✔️ Develop & Implement HR Strategies - Align policies with city goals and ensure best practices.
✔️ Drive Employee Training & Development - Foster a culture of growth and professional development.
✔️ Oversee Risk Management - Implement policies that mitigate risk and protect the City and its employees.
✔️ Serve as a Trusted Advisor - Provide HR guidance to city leadership, department heads, and employees.
Who We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field an equivalent combination of education, training an experience will be considered.
5+ years of progressive HR experience in recruitment, compensation, benefits, or employee relations.
PHR or SPHR Certification (Preferred) - A strong plus for candidates with HR credentials.
Expert Knowledge of HR Laws & Compliance - Strong understanding of employment regulations.
Proven Leadership Experience - Ability to manage HR policies, personnel, and city compliance.
Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Ability to work with employees at all levels.
Familiarity with HRIS & Payroll Systems - Strong technical proficiency in HR software.
