Description
Assists special event staff in the planning, coordination, and execution of special events and recreational activities for different age groups and interests. This position involves direct interaction with participants, event setup and breakdown, supervising volunteers, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all attendees. Work is performed under general supervision and requires flexibility, teamwork, and strong organizational skills. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on event schedules.
Typical Qualifications
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Two years experience in playing or teaching various recreational games and activities. A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Must have a Class B CDL driver’s license or ability to obtain within the first six months of employment. Specific abilities include seeing, reading, hearing and talking. Must be able to work in sometimes outside adverse weather conditions. Some running, standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling is required.
