WELDER
DEPARTMENT: PARKS AND RECREATION
Duties include coordinating work projects and the acquisition of welding materials and equipment parts; performing and inspecting welding repairs on a variety of machinery, tools, equipment and city vehicles; inspecting shop equipment to ensure proper working order; maintaining records; providing technical advice on welding activities; and assisting mechanic as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus two years experience in MIG, TIG and Stick welding required. Technical training or certification from a welding school or community college is preferred. Must have an appropriate Texas driver’s license.
PAY GRADE GG15 / FULL PAY RANGE $22.75 - $32.08 PER HOUR ($47,328 - $66,732 ANNUALLY)
