This is a position that must; develop, maintain, evaluate and implement Web-based applications and content. Intern must work with internal departments, citizen’s feedback and provide statistical reports to expand and improve web content and information presentation. Intern must have the skills to plan, evaluate and coordinate new and existing web projects.
This is a temporary position that will end on 30 SEPTEMBER 2025.
- Develop, maintain, evaluate and implement Web-based content.
- Analyze user needs and make recommendations of information that the users should include in web page information that would benefit the public.
- Assist our internal users to use their abilities to update their existing web pages.
- Provides consultation and coordination of services for web page development with county staff members and constitutional offices.
- Performs record keeping; prepares correspondence and program-related paperwork and reports; develops, retains and updates databases.
- Monitor web analytics, news, social media, and create quarterly reports for director
- Assists in the development of engagement and interaction on the website and social media (posting stories, videos, and blogs e.g.).
- Ability to interact with the public in a positive and effective manner; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Attend table top, networking, and community events while representing the County.
- Answers telephone and written inquires. Assists the public in the office and over the phone.
- Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of relative experience in social media administration, graphic design, project management, webpage creation; or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and be insurable by current insurance carrier.
Required Competencies- Must have the ability to build a government website from scratch
