Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Utility Billing Manager, the Customer Service Supervisor leads and supports our customer service team. This role will oversee daily operations and provide coaching and mentorship to customer service representatives and ensure that customer interactions meet high standards of service and satisfaction. This role will be critical in resolving escalated issues, improving team performance, and contributing to a culture of excellence. They must exercise some independent judgment in completing assigned tasks and must exercise considerable tact, courtesy, and firmness in frequent contact with customers and the general public. This position reports to the Deputy Utility Billing Manager.A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and one to two years of experience, preferably in billing and collections-related work; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required combination of skills, knowledge, and abilities. Considerable knowledge of billing/collections software is required.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including computers, calculators, copiers, facsimile machines, etc. Must be able to exert up to 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
