Overview
Marion Superior Court is accepting resumes for a full-time Juvenile Magistrate in its Family Division. Cases may include divorces, CHINS, delinquency, paternity, protective orders, adoptions, and TPRs. Juvenile magistrates are paid through both the State and the County. Benefits, including retirement accounts, are also through the State. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of family law experience.
Position Responsibilities
May Include Any Of The Following
- Presiding over and conducting hearings- both in-person and remotely;
- Review and rule on motions;
- Review warrants;
- Producing orders in a timely fashion;
- Ensure staff update information accurately and timely;
- Other duties as assigned by the supervising Judge.
Qualifications
Applicants must be admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana with five years of practice and be in good standing with the Indiana Supreme Court.
Family law experience is required. Strong domestic relations litigation experience is preferred, but not required.
