Our Marketing & Public Relations team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and detail-oriented intern to join us in making an impact through exciting marketing and events.
Your Role: As a Marketing & Events Intern, you'll gain practical experience in coordinating and supporting community events within a local government setting. Your work will focus on event logistics, vendor and partner communication, on-site execution, and helping ensure our Farmers Market and other city events run smoothly. The core of this role centers on detailed event planning and day-of support. It’s a great opportunity to build real-world event experience, work with a collaborative team, and contribute to creating memorable experiences for families in Oak Creek.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Assist with the planning and promotion of local City events.
- Collaborate with team members and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
- Help manage the Food Share program at the Farmers Market.
- Support the creation of engaging content for the City’s website and social media channels.
- Help track event analytics and compile data.
- Proofread and edit marketing materials.
- Dive into various marketing and communication tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For:- You’re a full-time college student studying marketing, public relations, communications, event planning, or a related field.
- You’re comfortable with tech tools like Microsoft Office and Canva (bonus points for experience with digital cameras and photo editing!).
- You’re detail-oriented, organized, and can juggle multiple tasks with a smile!
- A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and with a team are key.
- Previous experience with customer service or cash handling is a plus.
