Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Risk Manager in Midland County, Texas. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing organizational risks, implementing risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The role will involve working closely with various departments to develop risk mitigation plans and promote a culture of risk awareness and management.
Qualifications
- Risk Management, Risk Analysis, and Compliance skills
- Experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Certification in Risk Management (e.g., CRM, ARM) is a plus
- Ensures all operations are in ADA compliance with Federal regulations and requirements
- Provides guidance for investigations and confirms appropriate follow-up actions are completed for behavior incidents. Ensures documentation are completed promptly.
- Responsible for but not limited to; AED, and First Aid Kits and all related supplies for such. Inspect annually and communicate any assistance needed to appropriate departments.
- Advises Commissioners Court of appropriate techniques and implements programs and policies to minimize loss, such as avoidance, loss prevention and reduction, retention, grouping of exposure unites and transfer.
- Analyzes and classifies risks as to frequency and potential severity, and measures financial impact of risk on county employees or property.
- Assists in establishing goals, policies and performance standards; assists in the preparation and development of the division’s budget.
