PRIMARY DUTY:
Enforce city ordinances and state laws pertaining to public nuisance, property maintenance, environmental, zoning and land use. Assist property owners in the abatement of nuisances and compliance with codes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a code compliance-related field
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Valid Class "C" Texas driver license with good driving record and ability to maintain while employed
- Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation as a Code Enforcement Officer, or ability to obtain a Code Enforcement Officer in Training Certification within first year of employment.
- AACE or ICC Zoning and Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Certification preferred.
