IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Duties include providing desktop workstation system support to City employees, troubleshooting and responding to questions and requests; training City staff in basic applications and computer usage; tracking computer inventory, purchasing hardware and software, and setting up new workstations; and administering the computer recycling program. Duties will require ability to adhere to strict deadlines working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. An Associate degree, or equivalent, with course work in information systems or a closely related field and two years of computer systems support experience required. Must have knowledge of desktop, tablet and network operating systems, Microsoft Office and other general business applications (e.g. Acrobat or Photoshop). A+ or Network+ certification and audiovisual work experience beneficial. Will be scheduled for periodic after-hours on-call duty including nights, weekends and holidays; and must be available for callback in emergency situations. Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted. Candidates will be subject to a criminal history check. Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered. IT
PAY GRADE IT20 / FULL RANGE $31.44 - $44.34 PER HOUR ($65,400 – $92,232 ANNUALLY)
