Duties include acting as an ambassador for the ICVB and the City of Irving by providing varied convention and meeting services support for clients hosting conferences, meetings, seminars, sporting events, and expositions held at the Irving Convention Center (ICC), hotels, and other event facilities within Irving; providing in-office support with relief coverage of ICVB/ICC front office reception desk as needed. Duties may also include working outdoors in support of tournaments and other sporting events and typically require light physical activity such as lifting, carrying, walking and / or standing for long periods of time (with or without special accommodation). A high school diploma or equivalent and three years’ experience from positions in the hospitality or event industry and / or customer services industry dealing with the public required. Good communication and customer service skills are essential. Must have the ability to quickly adapt to existing job duty and maintain professionalism in a face-paced work environment. Knowledge of word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database programs, including the Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams and online time reporting preferred. There are no regularly scheduled hours; will work on a sporadic as-needed basis only, including weekdays, weekends, early morning and evening hours.
