Salary: $47,957.70/annual minimum - $59,947.11/annual midpoint (Depending on qualifications)

SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by the Youth Services Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in Chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Network with school districts, social service agencies, police, business community, community organizations, and recreation staff; and attend meetings to set goals and objectives for the youth program.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of youth in various settings, including educational and community forums.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, seminars, and group activities focused on life skills and personal growth.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of promotional material, both print and digital.
- Produce and publish web content. This includes page development, multi-media content links and imagery.
- Work with community partners to create pathways to volunteerism and civic engagement.
- Coordinate and create social media campaigns on multiple platforms with strategic posts, content creation, and engagement tracking, ensuring brand message is consistent.
- Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of youth development; keep current on all new technological procedures, processes, and equipment.
- Oversee and coordinate large- and small-scale activities and events for the City. Develop and monitor event timelines and work with event staff and stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
- Tracks program participation and impact through surveys and feedback, maintains accurate records of program activities and participant information.
- Communicate and coordinate courteously and effectively with the public, other City employees, officials, vendors, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and other outside organizations.
- Facilitate and increase community engagement with youth-related programs, outreach events, and educational activities.
- Prepare, review and verify a variety of documents, forms and reports for programs.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, non-profit management, youth development, parks and recreation administration, or other related field.
Or
Four years of related experience may substitute for the degree requirement with High School Diploma or GED.
Experience in mentoring or leading youth and young adults is preferred.
Experience working with school-age children in a school environment is preferred.
Two years of relevant experience in volunteerism, community engagement, outreach, local government, education, or non-profit work is preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) speaking and writing is preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Possession of a valid driver's license.

- Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Some weekends and evenings
