Join the City of Bothell’s Parks and Recreation Department as a Recreation and Events Assistant, where you’ll help bring joy and excitement to our community through recreation programs and events. We are currently hiring for
two positions, one focused on Community Events and the other on Facilities and Programs.
Note: This is anticipated to start in May 2026. This is a temporary full-time position. This position has authorized funding for up to six (6) full months from hire. This is also a non-represented and non-benefited position.
Schedule: The schedule for these positions will be somewhere in the following range
- 8am - 4pm, 8:30am - 4:30pm or 9an to 5pm, Monday through Friday (in office only)
- Schedule may be adjusted during Fourth of July and other events.
Recruitment information: The first review of applications will be Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
What will you do in this position?
- Provide on-site support for the department’s signature events, including the Fourth of July parade, concerts in the park, movie nights, and youth programs, assisting with event setup and breakdown, logistics coordination, and crowd management.
- Assist with vendor coordination and help strengthen community partnerships through outreach efforts.
- Organize, schedule, and support program and event logistics in alignment with established procedures and guidelines.
- Support the administrative team in managing facility rentals, including coordinating schedules, processing payments, handling documentation, and delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain proactive and timely communication with customers regarding programs, facilities, and services, ensuring questions and concerns are addressed efficiently.
