This Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Division recruitment is an Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) internal recruitment. Only applications from current, qualified, non-probationary OCFA BLS & Paramedic Fire Captains, Fire Apparatus Engineers, and Firefighters will be accepted. Interested applicants are required to submit a detailed resumé and cover letter by the posted closing date.
This recruitment will be used to fill current EMS Committee Member vacancies. This position requires committee members to attend bi-monthly meetings (backfill/overtime approved).
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- Last Day to Submit Resumé and Cover Letter – Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12:00 pm (noon)
- Please submit your resume and cover letter addressed to Battalion Chief, Ray McQueen via email to Brad Stephens, Senior Human Resources Analyst at bradstephens@ocfa.org before the posted closing date.
- Research and development of new equipment
- Writing/Revising SOPs
- Assist EMS Department with training development and delivery
- Possess an understanding of OCFA and OCEMS policies
- Attend additional meetings at hospitals, county, etc. (infrequent, as needed)
- Assist with special projects as needed.
To be considered, applicants must be off probation.

HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer skills with fluency in the Windows environment
- Strong written communication skills
