JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of De Pere has an exciting opportunity for a
Code Enforcement Specialist to join our Development Services team! This
position will be responsible for administering and enforcing City
Building and Property Maintenance Code, City Zoning Code violations,
public nuisances, stormwater and drainage violations, Public Works
ordinance violations, building codes, fence, accessory structure, and
pool violations, conducting inspections and investigating complaints as
required in accordance with the De Pere Municipal and Zoning Codes. Full

The typical work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
and Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. However, the City of De Pere

school diploma is required. Post-Secondary technical training in code
enforcement, carpentry or specialty trades, law enforcement training,
other community code training, building construction, architecture, or
Related Field Is Preferred. Three Years Experience In Construction,
inspection, or code enforcement. Ability to obtain Department of Safety
and Professional Services, Uniform Dwelling Code certification in one or
more of the following areas: One- and Two-Family Dwelling Construction,
Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, or Commercial Building, within 24 months
from date of hire. Valid unencumbered Wisconsin driver\'s license and
safe driving record. A combination of education and experience may be
considered. Salary: The full salary range for this position is \$30.07 -
\$42.95 per hour. Anticipated starting salary is \$30.07 - \$36.08 per
hour, depending on qualifications. The City of De Pere rewards employees
for exceptional work performance with a pay for performance incentive
program. Employees may be awarded a salary increase, bonus, or paid time
off for exceptional work performance. Employees will be automatically
enrolled in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), a pension plan to
help provide for financial security during retirement, which consists of
