DEFINITION

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives immediate supervision from the Recreation Facilities Coordinator or assigned supervisor. This position does not exercise supervision.
EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT/ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Receives direct supervision from the Recreation Facilities Coordinator.
Provides the highest level of customer service to all patrons that enter the Brighton Recreation Center and Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park.
Welcomes patrons, directs individuals to proper locations, provides information, collects fees, facilitates registrations, makes reservations; and assists the public in person and over the telephone;
Checks out equipment and inventory, and accounts for checkouts. Assists in maintaining various records such as inventory, activity reports, receipts, memberships, reservations, and minor financial accounts. Maintains daily records of participants;
Cleans and organizes equipment, supply and storage rooms; assists in organizing equipment and materials for recreation activities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Incredible customer service, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and people skills.
Perform general clerical work including maintenance of appropriate records and compiling information for reports under minimal supervision.
Understand and carry out oral and written directions. Write clearly, concisely and legibly.
Operate office equipment including computer terminals at a speed necessary for adequate job performance.
Operate telephone for all incoming calls and maintain the ability to perform other duties without losing concentration.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor and the public.
Ability to multi-task working in a high-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Graduation from High School/GED and experience involving public contact.
Understanding and experience with registration software or Amilia by SmartRec software highly desirable.
Cash handling experience highly desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform light physical work, and to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, kneel, twist, reach, grasp, push, pull, and perform similar body movements. Possesses hand/eye/foot coordination adequate to operate office equipment and a vehicle. Ability to talk and hear in person and by telephone. Ability to see and read instructions, manuals, and reports.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age.
Possession of a valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record.
Must obtain Standard First Aid and CPR certification within six (6) months of hire date.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
