Roswell is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Information Technology Director to lead the City's enterprise technology operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives while driving innovation, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service across the organization.
As our Information Technology Director, you'll play a key role in:
- Providing strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives
- Developing and executing a citywide technology strategic plan aligned with organizational priorities and emerging technologies, including AI and automation
- Leading and mentoring IT staff while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Overseeing enterprise infrastructure, cloud and hybrid environments, systems integrations, and modernization projects
- Directing enterprise cybersecurity, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Building collaborative partnerships across departments to implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer service
- Managing departmental budgets, vendor relationships, technology contracts, and procurement strategies
- Serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and elected officials on technology planning, governance, and organizational modernization
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in technology-driven environments, preferably within local government or similar complex organization
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IT governance, project management, and data analytics practices
- Experience with enterprise technology systems, cybersecurity, and cloud/hybrid environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with innovation, emerging technologies, AI, or automation initiatives
- Budgeting, contract management, or public sector procurement experience
- Ability to influence decision-making and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and customer service skills
Starting Salary $155,000 (salary commensurate based on experience)
