Job Responsibilities
- Prepares and analyzes financial reports to support budget management, executive decision-making, and operational planning.
- Assists with developing, administering, and monitoring the agency budget by analyzing financial data and funding needs.
- Monitors budget activity to ensure compliance with fiscal policies and identifies financial trends and variances.
- Administers the agency capital projects system and maintains accurate project accounting and reporting.
- Processes budget transactions and fiscal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
- Provides guidance and technical assistance on budget processes, financial reporting, and SCEIS to agency staff.
- Conducts financial analysis and research to support funding recommendations, strategic planning, and executive decision-making.

Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business,
OR
- A related field and one (1) year of professional experience in a related area,
OR
- An associate's degree in accounting, finance, business,
OR
- A related field and three (3) years of professional experience in a related area,
OR
- A high school diploma with five (5) years of professional experience in a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
SCDC budget experience preferred.
