PAY AND BENEFITS
Hourly Pay Range: $31.650705-$ 40.105921
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.
Bilingual skills are paid an additional 5% add-to-pay.

JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Clackamas County's Children, Family and Community Connections Division is looking to fill a vital role as the bilingual Prenatal - Third Grade Human Services Coordinator.
The role of a bilingual Prenatal-Third Grade Coordinator is a dynamic and multifaceted position within the Children, Family and Community Connections (CFCC) Division's Early Learning Hub in Clackamas County. This individual is tasked with the crucial responsibility of fostering the development and coordination of early learning and kindergarten readiness programs. The Coordinator's goal is to enhance the educational landscape for children from prenatal stages up to the third grade, ensuring a seamless transition and a strong educational foundation.
The Coordinator's duties encompass a broad range of activities aimed at bolstering the early learning workforce. This includes strategic planning with the Early Learning/Parenting Education Team to identify areas for program enhancement and to implement these improvements effectively. A significant aspect of the role involves orchestrating the Prenatal to Third Grade (P3) and Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation (KPI) initiatives, which are pivotal in shaping the educational journey of young learners.
In collaboration with various partners across Clackamas County, the Coordinator identifies and capitalizes on opportunities for professional development among early childhood educators and care providers. Regular meetings with these professionals are essential for maintaining a cohesive approach to education and for supporting the planning of conferences that contribute to the continuous learning of educators.
Additionally, the Coordinator plays a vital role in the integration of practices between early childhood/preschool settings and Kindergarten through third-grade education. This systemic focus is aimed at building and nurturing partnerships with school districts and educational programs, while direct interaction with children and families is minimal, experience is beneficial.
Working with the Early Learning Hub, the Coordinator strives to create robust collaborations with each school district within Clackamas County. The overarching goal is to ensure that all children are well-prepared and ready to thrive in kindergarten and the subsequent years of their educational journey. This involves close cooperation with team members to meticulously plan, execute, and assess the effectiveness of programming, not only for its educational impact but also to ensure adherence to grant requirements and compliance.

Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• A minimum of four (4) years of related experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and facilitating partnerships with school districts and other K-12 education partners.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English or Russian/English)
Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Ability to create, use and analyze spreadsheets in a variety of formats (google sheets, excel)
• Experience providing coaching or technical assistance to early childhood educators.

TYPICAL TASKS
• The coordination of Prenatal - Third Grade (P3) and Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation (KPI) activities involves a multifaceted approach to enhance early childhood education. • Developing and executing work plans for outreach strategies is crucial for engaging school districts, educators, and parents, fostering a community-centric approach to education. These plans are designed to be dynamic, addressing the evolving needs of the educational landscape.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the P3 and KPI initiatives is achieved through diligent tracking of outcomes, resource allocation, and expenditures, ensuring that every action taken is impactful and fiscally responsible. Compliance with grant reporting requirements is meticulously upheld to maintain transparency and accountability.
• Expanding the kindergarten transition program across Clackamas County's ten school districts requires careful coordination to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for children entering formal education.
• Coordinating and facilitating events and training opportunities necessitates a collaborative strategy that not only meets but anticipates community needs, ultimately contributing to a robust and resilient educational foundation for children.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Working knowledge of:
• The early childhood education system, with an emphasis on kindergarten transition.
• Best practices of collaboration with schools/school districts.
• Needs of families with children prenatal - 3rd grade.
• Program evaluation methods.

Skill to:
• Plan and coordinate Prenatal - Third Grade (P3) and Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation (KPI) activities with team and partners.

WORK SCHEDULE
The work schedule for the position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Thursday with some evening and weekend work required for community or family meetings.
