PAY AND BENEFITS
Annual Pay Range: $68,868.87 - $87,447.48
Hourly Pay Range: $33.110035 - $42.042059
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and collaborative individual to join our dynamic team as a Program Coordinator Librarian (classified as Librarian 2) at the Clackamas County Oak Lodge and Gladstone Libraries. This is a unique opportunity to work in the brand new facilities! The new Gladstone Library is now open and the Oak Lodge will follow in Fall of 2025!
If selected for this position, you will be responsible for planning future programming and outreach for the Oak Lodge and Gladstone Library communities. Specifically, in this role, you will lead a team in developing and coordinating library-wide programming, assign and oversee work of Librarian 1s, review processes, budgets, and coordinate future services. You will oversee library contracts and collaborate with internal and external programmers. You will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with community organizations and partners to fund and support projects and events.
Oak Lodge and Gladstone Libraries are a part of the Department of Transportation & Development (DTD) under Community Services. We are committed to providing direct public library services to the Oak Lodge and Gladstone communities within the LINCC consortium. We are searching for an individual, who is motivated to contribute to a team with a strong focus on quality library services, innovative outreach, programming, and who can demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Possession of a Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) or a Master's degree in Library Information Systems (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited college or university
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience providing professional public library services
Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Experience working in a public library as a Youth Librarian
• Experience working in a public library providing outreach and programming
• Experience leading teams in a public library

TYPICAL TASKS
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
• Leads the work of Librarians including planning, training, assigning, and reviewing work assignments.
• Coordinates library-wide programming including supplies, budgets, funding, record keeping, processes and oversees library contracts with performers.
• Plans and delivers Storytime and other Youth programming.
• Assists in coordinating library events and exhibits. Coordinates and represents the library at outreach events, including coordination of library staff and volunteers. Coordinates market outreach and library programs. Works collaboratively with community organizations and partners to fund/support projects and events.
• Monitors the programming budget and ensures programming expenditures remain within budgets. Monitors contract purchase orders to ensure contract allows for expenditure.
• Oversees youth volunteer and youth internship programs.
• Develops marketing messages and promotional materials for library programs and services including newsletter, social media, etc.
• May provide general and specialized reference, readers' advisory and material selection assistance; researches and answers complex questions; Assist patrons with technical support. May assist with circulation duties as needed.
• Works with team to develop library-wide or specific collections; evaluates costs and usage statistics.
• Participates and serves on various committees; attends professional conferences and meetings; maintains statistical data and other records.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties require continuous walking/moving, standing for extended periods, frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching forward and overhead, fine motor control, and ability to lift 35 pounds, lift and carry 20 pounds, overhead reach 5 pounds, and push/pull 20 pounds. Duties also involve exposure to dust and odors/fumes including strong perfumes.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position works 40 hours during a standard workweek of either Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday. Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.
Please Note: This position is designated as on-site/in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
