When necessary, calls on other members of the Community Development team to handle issues in their areas of responsibility.

OUR CITYThe City of Auburn is home to over 80,000 residents and encompasses over 29.8 square miles of land, two rivers, and is part of two counties - King and Pierce. The City operates as a Strong-Mayor form of Mayor-Council government, with a City Council of seven at-large members.In this role, you will: - Facilitate technical support for the Permit Center by assisting applicants with electronic permit and business license submittals, addressing inquiries, and providing detailed information on submission processes, fees, project status, etc.
- Receive, review, and process applications, plans, and other application documents, as assigned, and determines completeness with submittal requirements.
- Review certain permit applications, including review of construction documents and/or site plans, for compliance with applicable codes and other requirements, as assigned.
- Anticipate customer needs and provides high priority to customer service and satisfaction;assists the public with completing permit and business license applications; provides specific information relative to fees, submittal requirements, engineering standards and requirements, and zoning, building, and other City Code requirements.
- Provide outstanding internal customer service within the Permit Center team, department, and towards other City employees.

AND- Three (3) years work experience as a regulation information source in a Building, Public Works, Planning, or similar environment
OR- A combination of education, experience, and training that would indicate the ability to successfully complete the essential functions of the job.
