Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
Subject to management approval, directs, evaluates, and coordinates the operations and activities of Expenditure Control, Vouchering, and Payroll; establishes, directs, and implements Agency accounting policy, methods, and procedures; plans and directs the development and updating of electronic data processing systems; attends meetings representing the Bureau of Fiscal Operations and the Department of Healthcare and Family Services; reviews fiscal and financial legislation as it relates to the fiscal effects on the Agency and/or operational effects on the Expenditure Accounting Section; makes recommendations for changes and revisions/amendments; reviews Comptroller's rules and regulations for impact on the Agency and/or operational effects of the Expenditure Accounting Section; supervises staff.
Minimum Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in fiscal management, accounting and budgeting; requires prior experience equivalent to four years of progressivley responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, preferably with fiscal management, accounting, and budgeting experience.
