Summary of Position:The intern will assist with various administrative and operational functions of the City Clerk’s Office, gaining hands-on experience in municipal government processes and customer service.
Essential Job Functions:- Assist with the distribution of meeting agendas and related documentation.
- Provide customer service to residents and city staff regarding inquiries about municipal processes.
- Review and index files and documents to determine retention schedules.
- Assist with managing the storage or disposition of records by completing the necessary forms.
- Maintain and update departmental files and records.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Interest in local government operations and public service.
- Additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Current college student or recent graduate majoring in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
