THE POSITION
The Senior Management Analyst in Moreno Valley’s Fire Department Office of Emergency Management is a vital position within the City’s disaster management organization. This role is dedicated to enhancing the City’s emergency management efforts, before, during, and after a disaster. This position will apply for and manage emergency management-related grants that contribute to the City and community disaster readiness posture. This position will be responsible for the development testing, and maintenance of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery plans. The Senior Management Analyst will be responsible for contributing in all phases of emergency management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a visionary professional with a proven track record in one or more of the four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery. The candidate will excel in the areas of grants management, budget preparation and tracking, plan development, and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) exercise design & conduct. This multi-tasking professional will possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, project management capabilities, and team-first attitude. Strong presentation skills and ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels will make this candidate the perfect addition to the Moreno Valley Fire Department Office of Emergency Management.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in finance or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses. Experience in a governmental agency is preferred.
About the Moreno Valley Fire Department Office of Emergency Management & Volunteer Services (OEM):
OEM is one of three divisions within the City of Moreno Valley Fire Department. OEM is tasked with disaster preparedness, response, and recovery operations for the City and as such, is directly responsible for management of the City Emergency Operations Center (EOC). OEM’s primary mission is to aide City departments, residents, businesses, and community-organizations to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. OEM is also responsible for the management and oversight of the Citywide volunteer program.
