PAY AND BENEFITS
Hourly Pay Range: $114.125700 - $145.206630
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

Employees must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to receive full benefits. Employees working 20 - 29 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits for themselves and family members. JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Clackamas County's Health Centers Behavioral Health Clinic's is seeking a compassionate, skilled Psychiatrist to provide essential psychiatric care and leadership within our comprehensive mental health services system. This is an exciting opportunity to serve a diverse client population while working in a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment.
Under general direction, Psychiatrists perform psychiatric consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic services in a mental health clinic; assist in the organization and execution of all medical services across all program areas in a comprehensive mental health system, including consultation with staff, diagnostic evaluations and treatment of patients; participate in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review procedures; and may participate in research or community education and training activities.

Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Any combination of relevant experience, education and/or training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the duties of this position
• A physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Oregon or eligible for licensing at the time of hire which has satisfactorily completed residency training in psychiatry (the medical training must be approved by the Council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Experience treating patients with mental illness
• Experience working with electronic health records
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Experience relating to a wide variety of people with diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds

TYPICAL TASKS
• Prescribes and administers medications within legally established formulary; evaluates patient response to medication; educates clients regarding medication risks and benefits; documents according to clinic policies.
• Conducts and documents psychiatric evaluations and reassessments; orders and interprets diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests; develops and implements treatment plans; makes referrals to other health care providers and social service agencies. Documents according to clinic policies.
• Participates in clinic operations and quality assurance activities; evaluates and recommends improvements to health care services; assists in the formation and review of clinical protocols, policies and procedures; participates in continuing education and in-service training
• Provides consultations to other service providers, group homes, schools and community groups on behavioral health care issues; develops and presents education material
• Conducts psychiatric evaluations and provides medication management to patients with complicated medical and psychiatric histories that are out of scope of NP practice. Provides clinical consultations to NPs.
• Assists Supervising Psychiatrist in providing clinical consultations to NPs on difficult cases.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position is a part-time position working 30 hours (6 hours, 5 days a week) during a standard workweek of Monday through Friday.
Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.
This position is eligible for hybrid on-site/telework subject to the https://dochub.clackamas.us/documents/drupal/9065b5fb-2237-47ce-9534-e7c8c40fc2bc and based on the Department's business needs. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during the time of offer. Telework locations cannot be located outside of Oregon or Washington. Washington residents must perform 50% of their time on-site at Clackamas County.
