About the Role:
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting recruitment efforts, assisting employees and our business partners, and will contribute to exciting HR projects that are shaping the future of our rapidly growing Parks division.
The HR Associate provides high-level administrative functions for the day-to-day human resources delivery. You will champion key elements of the recruitment selection process to include administrative and technical support to hire talent for the Parks Division. You will organize, prioritize, coordinate, and respond to a variety of work assignments, research, information requests, and creation of documents. You must enjoy working as part of a team and solving problems.

- Data processing and maintenance: NEOGOV administration, Laserfiche personnel records filing and SharePoint administration.
- Parks recruitment support: scheduling, interview materials coordination, attendance at recruitment events, act as back-up to Parks HR Recruiters.
- New employee onboarding, orientation, human resources information system processing and administrative functions.
- Manage Parks HR email account, route information to subject matter experts, process forms and documents for signature, coordinate meetings and agendas, and take meeting minutes.
- Assist with a variety of Human Resources and recruitment special projects and process creation.
Qualifications You Bring:
- Highly proficient in the use of various computer software such as but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Minimum of two years of progressive experience providing customer service or administrative support to a business unit, and complex projects or programs.
- Experience working with confidential records and/or materials.
- Experience working in data entry and basic data analysis experience.
- Experience working in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Experience supporting basic recruitment operations or candidate outreach.
- Experience working with the public and/or diverse constituencies.

It Would Be Great if You Also Bring:
- One year of experience in the field of Human Resources.
- SHRM or HRCI certified or AA/BS in Human Resources.
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Experience with or working knowledge of NEOGOV or PeopleSoft.
Working Conditions:- Work Location:The Human Resources team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson, Seattle, Washington 98104. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is represented by International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 117 Professional and Technical Employees.
