COMPENSATION
$113,300 - $147,290 annually + a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision and 10% employer paid 401A through VOYA Financial.
*Hiring Salary Range: $113,300 - $130,295 annually
(starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications)
SUMMARY
An employee of this class is responsible for managing and executing high-priority marketing initiatives that support Ontario International Airport’s strategic goals, brand reputation, and customer growth. Incumbents in this classification report directly to the Director of Communications and Marketing and serve as a key project and people leader within the Marketing and Communications division. The Marketing Manager will oversee cross-functional planning, project management, performance measurement, budget coordination, and website partner management to ensure ONT’s marketing ecosystem remains engaging, relevant, and impactful for the traveling public.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Important and essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Leads and manages high-priority, high-visibility marketing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, approvals, and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Develops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, workbacks, and reporting using project management tools such as Asana (or comparable platforms).
- Coordinates cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure marketing initiatives are executed efficiently and aligned with ONT brand standards.
- Manages and works closely with the airport’s website partner for flyOntario.com, ensuring the website remains engaging, accurate, and relevant for the traveling public and internal stakeholders.
- Leverages data insights and performance analytics to inform website content strategy, user experience improvements, and ongoing optimization to maximize impact and customer value.
- Works closely with Community Engagement, Revenue Management, Customer Experience, and other internal teams to ensure partner programs are supported and executed in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Supports the development and execution of partner-facing and collaborative marketing initiatives that enhance customer experience, strengthen community trust, and support revenue-generating programs.
- Manages marketing budgets for assigned initiatives including forecasting, tracking expenditures, invoice processing support, and ensuring fiscal accountability and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Oversees day-to-day workflow and prioritization for assigned staff and/or project teams, ensuring clarity of responsibilities, deadlines, and performance expectations.
- Supports team effectiveness through coaching, feedback, and professional development, including contributing to performance review processes and goal setting.
- Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Communications and Marketing regarding project status, risks, resource needs, and strategic recommendations.
- Supports internal communications and coordination for high-visibility campaigns, events, partnerships, and executive-level requests, ensuring accuracy, readiness, and alignment across stakeholders.
- Ensures quality control across assigned deliverables, including creative assets, messaging, timelines, and implementation details.
- Develops and implements process improvements that strengthen team efficiency, accountability, and cross-functional coordination.
- Prepares routine and non-routine reports, summaries, and presentations using a variety of software tools to support leadership updates and decision-making.
- Does related work as assigned.
- May occasionally be assigned to other duties for training purposes or to meet technological changes or emergencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced degree(s) in one or more of the disciplines listed above, or in a related discipline is a plus.
- Six or more years of professional experience related to corporate or government marketing and/or communications.
- Two or more years in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Previous professional experience with a commercial airport, or in the travel and tourism industry is a plus.
- Previous professional experience working with an agency or at a agency is a plus.
- Ability to speak, read and write in a second language, primarily Spanish and Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
- Proficiency in using design platforms including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is required.
- Exceptions to one or more of these qualifications can be made by the Chief Executive Officer if a candidate demonstrates exceptional attributes in other areas.
