How about joining The Prince William County Animal Services Bureau? We are seeking an Animal Care Assistant to join our team of hard-working and caring staff that seeks to provide a high level of service for both our community’s animals and our customers.
About This Role:
Animal Care Assistants are the frontline caregivers for all animal care needs within the Animal Services Center and are one of the primary customer care/service interfacing positions.
Minimum Requirements:
8th grade education and 0-12 months related animal care experience.
Preferences:
Experience with
- Animal handling
- Customer service
- Knowledge of animal behaviors
- Basic medical conditions in companion animals
Special Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Able to Lift 50lbs
Must obtain Euthanasia certification within 1 year of employment, training provided
Work Schedule:
Currently 4 – 10 HOUR DAYS/WEEK ROTATING SCHEDULE INCLUDING WORK ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, BUT SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
Starting Salary Range: $25.79 - $30.34 hourly
