Role Description
The Statewide Facilities Director at INDOT is a full-time position based in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves overseeing statewide facilities management activities, including supervising teams, coordinating facility operations, managing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring efficient budget development and spending. Responsibilities also include developing comprehensive facility management plans and ensuring facilities meet compliance and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Proven Supervisory Skills, including leadership and team management abilities
- Strong expertise in Facilities Operations and Facility Management (FM), ensuring seamless management of physical assets
- Experience with Budgeting and financial planning for facility-related expenditures
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance processes to ensure long-term functional efficiency of facilities
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Familiarity with state and federal compliance standards related to facility management is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or 10 years experience in related field is preferred
