As the Senior Site Lead, the individual acts as a contact hub for all site leads in their region, and facilitates communication across all domains back to the program manager and COR. In addition, the Senior Site lead performs all the duties of a Mid-level IT Support Engineer in addition to installing/configuring/troubleshooting VMware server virtualization products independently, configuring Information Technology assets in accordance with Federal Information Processing guidelines (such as DISA STIGs and NSA SNACs), configuration and maintenance of networking equipment - primarily routers, switches, and firewalls.
Responsibilities
- Runs the DoD approved Information Assurance tool ACAS Security Center to assess the vulnerability status of networked and non-networked assets and provide reporting/risk assessments on an as needed basis
- Installs, tests, and supports Microsoft Windows and Android based systems
- Designs, builds, briefs, and deploys Tactical Land Area Network (TACLAN) Images as well as inventory, track, and resolve usability and configuration issues of new TACLAN Images
- Scans, remediating, rescanning, and reporting to cognizant authority the status of Category I vulnerabilities in Support of the accreditation of new TACLAN Images in addition to downloading, installing, and verifying Microsoft Updates in support of TACLAN Images
- Generates documentation necessary to receive an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), build small test networks in support of Network Security Vulnerability scanning, troubleshoot client/server and network, and conduct testing, quality assurance, and drafting test plans for functional testing and accreditation
- Drafts Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents, accreditation documentation, and conduct peer review of documents created by others
- Escalates unresolved issues to Senior management
- Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education And Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline; OR Technical School Certificate related to computer systems OR the equivalent technical training with experience that aligns directly to the duties to be performed in lieu of degree for specific user units.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2, or higher certification (i.e Security +)
- Must have and maintain Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
- In-depth knowledge of the Unified Command structure, joint doctrine, and joint policies
- Detailed working knowledge of processes and procedures for using automated tools to plan, support, and execute Special Operations roles for mission planning
- Ability to develop processes and techniques which enhance the mission planning environment and reduces the workload for other mission planning support Contractors
- Minimum of 7 years operational experience with or supporting an organization’s: navigation and mission planning techniques including preparation and check out of flight plans for aircraft weapons systems OR mission planning computer systems, communications, mission equipment, and planning techniques including preparation of unit mission plans for conduct of peacetime and wartime special operations missions
