We are currently seeking a federal Government Relations Advisor to join our Government Relations and Regulatory team. The Government Relations Advisor will assist and work with the team to provide federal government relations and regulatory services to clients across various sectors. The position is Washington, DC based, and involve travel as necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and researching legislative and regulatory developments of interest to clients.
- Drafting memorandum, policy briefs, letters, talking points, and other materials for clients.
- Drafting legislative alerts, articles, and political updates.
- Attending Congressional hearings and drafting summaries of hearings.
- Communicating, coordinating, and attending meetings with Congress as well as other political events in Washington, DC.
- Assuming other legislative functions in support of clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the federal government, campaign or political fields, federal advocacy entity, or other related field.
- Strong understanding of the political and legislative process.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
