The purpose of this position is to ensure the proper operations of the water distribution system, wastewater collection system, and ensuring these City utilities comply with all applicable permit requirements. The position manages employees who collect data and make necessary system adjustments, complete preventative maintenance on water and wastewater equipment, and perform all repairs needed to ensure continued operation of these systems. The Utilities Operations Supervisor is also responsible for managing finances to meet budget goals, and maintaining a safety culture that ensures the highest level of safety for employees and the public. This position is considered essential, and attendance is mandatory in the event of a storm, disaster, or other circumstantial event. May perform other related work as required.

Qualifications
Applicant must pass a physical examination, drug screening test, and background check. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Over 5 years of related experience required. Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record. Possess a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality “Class C” Water Distribution license and a “Class II” Wastewater Collection or be able to acquire both within 6 months.
