About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) to lead our technology strategy and operations. As CIO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, driving digital transformation and ensuring our technology infrastructure supports the evolving needs of our constituents and staff. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on how government technology serves the public.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Vision & Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the Treasurer's Office's mission and goals.
Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.
Stay ahead of technology trends and identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies like AI and machine learning to improve services and operations.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, including data management, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and cloud computing.
Ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of all technology platforms.
Develop and manage IT budgets and procurements.
Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Team Leadership & Development:

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that attracts and retains top talent.
Provide opportunities for professional development and growth within the IT department.

Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the Treasurer's Office and other County agencies.
Communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build strong relationships with technology vendors and partners.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record of success in leading and managing IT operations in a complex environment.
Deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Experience in government or public sector IT.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience with AI and machine learning initiatives.
