The Public Works Solid Waste Division, Environmental Services Section is seeking a skilled professional with technical expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) services to join our dynamic team. The core function of the Solid Waste SCADA Systems Administrator position is to be responsible for all aspects of support, maintenance and operation of the Division’s SCADA systems and related technologies, ensuring effective, accurate and timely capture of operational and mandated data to support Division tasks. Additionally, the position will maintain various databases and program a variety of cloud-based applications to support access to regulatory data. We are looking for technology professionals with experience in Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio and Historian, MicroLogix/ControlLogix PLC systems, SQL server administration, SSRS, Win-911, asp.net and C#.

About the Solid Waste Division
The Solid Waste Division oversees the disposal of garbage, hazardous materials, and recycling throughout Snohomish County. With four transfer stations and three drop box locations, the Division is focused on:
- Reducing overall waste from Snohomish County
- Promoting and emphasizing the reuse of items and recycling
- Handling household hazardous waste
- Providing garbage and recycling facilities for County resident
- Transferring garbage to the landfill and partnering with private vendors to handle recycled items

- Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA): Effective January 1, 2026, all five (5) step salary tables shall have a sixth (6th) step added to the top of each pay grade. Employees who have been at step 5 for a full year shall be placed at step 6 effective January 1, 2026.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their Snohomish County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
