General Description And Classification Standards
This individual will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of ATL Enforcement. Develops, identifies, and implements policies and actions that will result in efficiencies in traffic management and regulatory compliance/enforcement. The airport Operations manager will directly oversee senior supervisors, who will then directly oversee supervisors. Requires proven experience in planning, organizing, monitoring, supervising, and problem-solving. The manager will work closely with other managers, to ensure business unit goals are successfully accomplished and any irregular operational impacts are mitigated.
Supervision Received
The direction received is very general and focuses more on long-term and short-term operating objectives, managerial effectiveness, and operating results. This position reports directly to the ATL Enforcement Assistant Director.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Provides guidance daily to resolve customer/stakeholder concerns and problems.
- Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff, handling employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining and completing employee performance appraisals.
- Organizes, prioritizes and distributes work and shift assignments to subordinates; works to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
- Inventories supplies and equipment; orders and maintains sufficient amount to ensure adequate units are available to perform daily tasks.
- Reviews and/or approves various reports, forms and requests, files and records including citations, offence reports, complaint forms, training, payroll and personnel documents, etc.
- Creates operating plans, forecasts and reporting systems and manages the day-to-day operations.
- Provides input into policy and strategy.
- Assist with creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures.
- Uses independent judgment and discretion in managing and handling emergency situations, determining, and deciding upon procedures to be implemented, setting priorities, maintaining standards, and resolving problems.
- Develops shift bid schedule when necessary to ensure adequate staffing on all shifts.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Under general supervision of the Assistant Director.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Airport Management, Business Administration, Criminal Justice or closely related field.
- Five (5) years of airport management, law enforcement, or code enforcement experience and three (3) years of supervisory or management experience are required.
Preferred Education & Experience
Master’s degree in business, Airport Management, Business Administration, Criminal Justice or closely related field. 5 plus years of experience in related fields.
Licensures and Certifications
Position would be expected to have licensure or professional certifications appropriate to the position. Required: Valid Georgia driver’s license
