What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary target range we are looking to offer is ideally between
$125,000- $145,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least 3 days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
What You’ll Do
Are you an innovative and organized grants professional who has a knack for continuous improvement of processes and policies? Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking a Grants Manager to join our team. In this role, you will do all things grants, from research, applications, and close out for all DEN grants. This role collaborates with almost every department of the airport and offers a wide variety of projects that you actually get to see develop from start to finish! Job responsibilities include:
- Manage DEN’s grant forecast and align it with the multi-year, multi-billion dollar CIP
- Align financial resources with operational goals. Manage reporting capabilities as it relates to grants. Manage personnel to implement sound financial planning techniques and tools
- Supervise and foster development of grants team
- Act as a primary DEN change agent and continuous improvement advocate with the ability to influence as a critical success factor
- Provide key advice to the Director of Fiscal Policy, as well as broader airport personnel on grant related issues and subjects. Drive system optimization, customization, and continuous improvement for DEN's needs
- Facilitate a constantly evolving robust training regimen for stakeholders and clients clearly communicating the direct relationship between DEN's strategic and financial plans with resource allocations and limitations
- Act as key steward of DEN's financial resources who will need to support results and recommendations, as well as leverage analysis to persuade management and team on key conclusions
- Utilize cross functional skills and talents to meet DEN's changing needs. Other duties assigned based on business need

We are looking for candidates with some of the following skills and experience, including similar experience that demonstrates transferrable knowledge and the ability to gain this experience quickly:
- Experience in forecasting, and reporting
- Excellent in grant writing
- Experience with federal and state grant funds
- Excellent communication skills with varied and diverse audiences
- Experience with Workday and advanced Excel skills
- Experience discussing study findings with upper management, including implications for proposed recommendations
- Experience directing the implementation for approved recommendations and developing policies and procedures to facilitate recommended changes
- Previous supervisory experience (helpful but not required)
- Power BI experience is helpful but not required
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Three (3) years of full performance, professional level experience overseeing and administering functional or operational aspects of fiscal business operations.
- Education & Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
