The Long Range Planning Group in the Department of Land Use and Transportation is recruiting for a GIS Analyst!
The Geographic Information Systems Analyst provides support to end-users of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) within the department. This includes analyzing a variety of statistics and spatial data to create diagrams, illustrations, web applications, and maps; developing applications using geographic information systems technology, including translating the application specifications into programs; and recommending program actions based on the results of geographic data analysis. The GIS Analyst will work closely with land use and transportation planners on long range planning projects.
The Ideal Candidate:We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated GIS professional to support Long Range Planning projects and staff, who has experience creating and maintaining data systems. Experience creating web-based GIS tools and applications highly desired.

We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may come from a less traditional background. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role, even if you believe you do not meet all of the hiring criteria described in the minimum qualifications.
