PAY AND BENEFITS
Annual Pay Range: $59,925.25 - $77,919.39
Hourly Pay Range: $28.810215 - $37.461244
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position. This position is classified as an Administrative Specialist 2.

JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Housing and Community Development Division (HCDD), part of Clackamas County's Department of Health, Housing & Human Services, is seeking a Technology & Retention Specialist to support the seamless functioning of critical systems that serve Clackamas County's diverse and resilient communities.
In this dynamic role, you will support technology procurement, tracking, and troubleshooting, while coordinating telecommunications systems and managing both digital and physical records. You'll also handle public records requests, maintain content on the division's external website, and collaborate with administrative staff on cross-divisional projects. You'll take the lead in ensuring hardware like laptops, printers, and peripherals are properly maintained and inventoried, and you'll provide first-level tech support and training to staff. You'll help organize and maintain records in compliance with retention policies, assist with document formatting and editing, and contribute to projects that involve data gathering, reporting, and process improvement. Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in administrative support, records management, or IT coordination that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through professional experience, training, or community involvement
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital filing systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data for reporting purposes
• Ability to manage confidential information and navigate legal or compliance-driven processes, such as public records requests
Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Experience working in a public sector, housing, or human services environment
• Experience in managing hardware or telecommunications inventory and providing technical support
• Knowledge of public records laws and records retention schedules
• Familiarity with public sector administrative systems and procedures

TYPICAL TASKS
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Technology Support: Forecasting, ordering, receiving, and tracking technology hardware (e.g., laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals) for all HCDD locations. Report on and suggest technology enhancements, improvements, or adjustments depending on program needs and budgetary considerations. Update the combined inventory management system for hardware assets, ensuring all devices are accounted for and up to date. Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to ensure timely ordering, delivery, and installation of necessary hardware. Maintain hardware in shared division-managed spaces, such as conference rooms and shared offices in the Public Services Building and the Housing Authority. Provide training to office staff. Provide initial troubleshooting of technology assets and conference room technology.
Administrative Team Support and Analysis: Track and assign requests that come through the Administrative Team request form and inbox to the appropriate team member or the Administrative Services Manager. Provide document services support (editing, formatting, reviewing, process mapping, etc.) as requested. Develop, update, and conduct training on division travel procedures. Track, review, and renew division memberships. Gather data and information across the division and other parts of the county as required for short-term, ongoing, and recurrent projects or initiatives and reporting. Provide back-up or assist in committee support, general purchasing, and the delivery, analysis, or review of other miscellaneous administrative or analytical projects.
Records Management: Assist in the classification, organization, storage, and disposal of both physical and electronic records. Develop and maintain electronic filing systems, including naming conventions, metadata, and indexing methods. Provide training and support to programs. Ensure all records are kept correctly according to defined retention schedules. Respond to public requests for records. Establish, update, and maintain an external-facing website and ensure materials are accurate and up to date.
Telecommunications support: Maintain inventory of telecommunication services, including mobile phones, landlines, and related hardware. Coordinate the ordering, tracking, and provisioning of telecom services for HCDD staff across all locations.
Other administrative or analytical duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position is included in the county's alternate workweek program, working 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off). Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during time of offer. Telework locations cannot be located outside of Oregon or Washington.
