SALARY RANGE STARTING JULY 1ST, 2025
$33.41 - $41.73 Hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience as a Code Enforcement Officer or two years of experience performing inspections, investigations, abatements, land use, zoning, building, public safety, related code enforcement or administration of justice work. The completion of up to one year of college (30 semester units) in a related field from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to one year of experience.

THE POSITIONThe Code Enforcement division is focused on enhancing public safety, quality of life, and positive relationships within the community. Our efforts are geared toward making Eastvale a wonderful place to live, work, play, connect, and prosper. The Code Enforcement Officer/Technician will serve as an ambassador and champion for the city and will be integral to reaching this goal through education and awareness, while taking enforcement action only when compliance is not achieved.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING- Adding value to the Code Enforcement Division by working collaboratively with City residents and businesses to ensure compliance with city ordinances and codes are met.

THE SCHEDULE
The Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer will work a Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 3:30pm schedule.

Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of relevant training, education, experience and writing skills as presented in the application, resume, cover letter and supplemental questions. The process may include interviews and/or performance tests. A background investigation including, LIVESCAN fingerprinting and verification of previous employment. Applicants will be required to submit verification of the legal right to work in the United States. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment letter, applicants are required to complete a drug and/or alcohol test at the time of their pre-employment physical. All employees are required by law to sign a loyalty oath to the United States and the State of California Constitution at time of hire.
