Dispatch the road crews who provide services and emergency repairs
The
Department of Facility Maintenance,
Road Maintenance Division, is hiring for two
Clerk-Dispatcher positions located in Kaneohe and Waialua respectively. Under the general supervision of the District Road Maintenance Superintendent, this position serves as the radio dispatcher and performs a variety of clerical tasks which include the maintenance of records; compilation and preparation of reports; processing of personnel and payroll related forms; preparation of requisitions for materials and supplies and maintenance inventory of supplies.
Special Working Conditions: Will be required to serve as a Disaster Response Worker during civil defense emergencies.

Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:Three years of clerical experience, one of which shall have been in receiving emergency repair or urgent service requests and independently dispatching personnel (e.g., repair crews, first responders, etc.) based on prioritizing the urgency of the requests and resources needed.
Desirable Experience:
Personal computer or computer mainframe experience.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:Possession of a valid driver’s license (automobile/Type 3), as required.
