The
Honolulu Liquor Commission is hiring for a Liquor Licensing Clerk to process applications for various types and categories of liquor licenses and receive payments for and issue appropriate licenses.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Assisting applicants with obtaining license, permit or other application packets specific to their needs.
- Reviewing all liquor license applications and requesting documentation for completeness, assigning and tracking application numbers, and routing application and documentation for assignment and processing.
- Issuing license after ensuring proper documentation and clearances are received and all requirements have been met.

Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:Three years of clerical experience, one
of which shall have been in liquor licensing, regulatory licensing or similar activities,
and one of which shall have included the collecting and accounting of cash.
Substitution: Business school or college-level credits from a regionally-accredited college/university may substitute for experience on a month-for-month basis for up to one year of the required three years of general clerical experience. There is NO substitution for the required one year in liquor licensing, regulatory licensing or similar activities and the required one year of clerical work involving the collecting and accounting of cash.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.
