Required Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
- Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire; and
- One (1) or more years of experience in landscape maintenance and/or operation of heavy equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of safety procedures and regulations in a maintenance or construction environment.
- Previous experience working at a water or wastewater treatment facility.
- Demonstrated experience in manual labor, particularly in construction, maintenance, or similar fields.
- Proven ability to operate basic machinery and tools related to landscape maintenance and repair tasks.
Available Schedule:
- Tuesday - Friday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- During initial training, the schedule will be Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
The anticipated hiring range for the WRD Laborer position is $20.64 (first step) to $21.67 or $22.76 (second or third step). Directly related experience and qualifications will be evaluated alongside others who perform work of comparable character as required by Pay Equity Law. Six steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
