City and County of Broomfield Strategic Initiatives Manager
The City and County of Broomfield (CCOB) is seeking an experienced and visionary Strategic Initiatives Manager to join the City Manager’s Office. In this critical role, you will work alongside senior leadership to develop, implement, and manage our organizational strategic plan, setting a solid foundation for the organization’s short and long-term goals and impact. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who thrives in a cross-functional environment, has experience guiding high-level initiatives, collecting and analyzing data and using it to tell a story and drive process improvement, and excels at translating strategy into actionable outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan and other initiatives that enhance the overall performance and effectiveness of the organization
- Collaborates with City Council, the community, and organizational leadership to define strategic goals/metrics, drive organizational change, and ensure the alignment of resources and processes
- Assists in establishing metrics to measure the success of organizational strategy efforts
- Develops and implements systems to track progress through data input and management informing a public dashboard
- In partnership with CCOB leadership, identifies strengths and opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency
- Assists in implementing process improvements and best practices consistent with the strategic plan
- Monitors the impact of process changes through department data collection based on set KPIs and adjusts strategies as needed in coordination with executive leadership
- Integrates equity considerations into the strategic planning process ensuring inclusive policies and practices
- Monitors and evaluates the impact of strategic initiatives on the community and organization, identifying and addressing disparities on satisfaction of services, equitability, future planning, and other identified community priorities.
- Supports organizational legislative efforts as needed including but not limited to, reviewing legislation, providing summaries, and determining level of impact on the city and county.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field - required
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Management and Strategy, or a related field - preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) - preferred
Experience
- 3 years experience required in strategic planning including leading large-scale organizational projects and leading teams.
Or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits.
