The Transportation Department is seeking a Planning and Engineering Division Manager to lead a group of technical professionals responsible for traffic studies/analysis, short-term and long-term planning efforts, design review, transportation safety, transportation operations and management, traffic signals, signing, and pavement markings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in civil engineering, hydrology, transportation planning, a physical science or a related field as determined by the department head at time of recruitment and five years of professional experience, including three years supervising activities in the area of specialization.
(Relevant experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted.).
Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
- Minimum five (5) years of planning and transportation budgeting experience, such as short-range, long-range, Transportation Improvement Program and/or Capital Improvement Program Budgeting.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with PAG Standard Specification and Details, Pima County Roadway Design Manual, Pima County Subdivision Development Street Standards, Pima County Code, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, or equivalents.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with Transportation Engineering Analysis, Studies, Design, and Operations.
- Experience in the continuous assessment of work processes and implementing improvements utilizing new technologies or approaches.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience leading and managing professional, technical, and/or administrative staff.
- Licensed in any state as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Pay Range:
Full Range: $102,213 - $153,320 Annually
Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
