About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will lead complex regional and national business attraction and advance commercial and mixed-use development opportunities for the Town of Erie.
You will also be responsible for recruiting businesses to new and existing commercial space, creative economic incentives, and supporting development projects that generate private investment, job creation and tax base growth.

- 2026 Hiring Salary Range: $90,122/year - $108,146/year
Anticipated Work Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday shifts) 40 hours per week with some nights and weekends as needed.
- The schedule may vary depending on specific division needs and Town events.
Work Location: Erie Town Hall (645 Holbrook St, Erie, CO 80516)
- This position is eligible to work remotely up to two (2) days per week dependent upon successful completion of the probationary period and supervisor approval.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Economic Development, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
- Successful candidates will have a minimum of four years of increasingly responsible experience in economic/business development, municipal planning, marketing and communications or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with public-private partnerships, incentive structuring, development agreements, or real estate transactions is required.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
