About The Role
As an Allocation Planner at Christy Sports, you will play a vital role in supporting our merchandise allocation process. You will work closely with the Merchandising team to ensure that products are distributed effectively to our retail locations, optimizing sales, minimizing stockouts, and maintaining inventory levels. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in ensuring our stores have the right products at the right time to meet customer demand.
Essential Functions
- Inventory Allocation: Allocate merchandise to individual retail locations based on historical sales data, current trends, and seasonality, while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Inventory Monitoring: Continuously monitor stock levels and analyze sell-through rates to identify slow-moving items or overstock situations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Buying and Planning teams to understand product assortments, vendor performance, and upcoming promotions to inform allocation decisions.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and inventory management software to make informed decisions about stock allocation and replenishment.
- Store Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with store managers to gather feedback on product performance and resolve inventory issues.
- Replenishment: Coordinate with vendors and distribution centers to ensure timely replenishment of merchandise as needed.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to evaluate allocation performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Seasonal Planning: Assist in the development of seasonal merchandise plans and allocation strategies.
- Inventory Accuracy: Ensure accuracy in inventory data by conducting regular audits and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management, allocation, and replenishment.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in merchandise allocation or inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP order entry / inventory management software a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized.

Budgeted range starts at: $55,000 -$65,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
